Category: Getting to Know You
heya all. I've been a member on here for a few months now, but untill now didn't get around to introing myself. I' Krystel, 20 from Australia. bit about me.Well I'm a full time musician, currantly working on promoting my album so I can get some more money to pay for the popular music performence course I'll be starting in March next year. My style is modern country, I play piano, guitar, and I sing. I'll soon be moving to sydney, currantly where I live is a nice quiet little country type town on the very east coast of australia, bout an hour from sydney. Hobbies? reading, writing music, love the outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, water sports like canuing, sailing all that, although don't get to o that as offen as I would like, going to concerts, I love to travel and learn about other peoples cultures, don't mind the accasional drink. love cocktails, can't stand beer. don't smoke... anything, I'm single, no kids. Likes? spring time, the beach, roses and carnations, and anything else that smells nice, E.G. perfume aromatic oils incents etc. I'm deffinently a girley girl, I love everything that comes with beeing a woman. Love coffee! sappy girly movies, cuddles, chocolate, rain, storms, animals, little kids, the colours blue, red and purple, the list goes on. Dislikes? Negative attitudes, beeing woken up in the morning lol, I'm deffinently not a morning person, beeing under estimated, I don't like beeing told no lol. That will do for now. At the moment, I'm just loving this stage of life i am at. I'm going through a learning curve. Learning about myself, pushing my boundries, and testing myself. it's all very exciting. so yeah, that's me. drop me a line sometime, and I'll see you all round. Remember the world is your oyster! oh, and on that, I like oysters too! yum!
Pleased to meet you Puggle we have a lot in common.
smile.
Hehe, I can't stand oysters myself, especially when they're raw. :) Kocktails rule though. Hey, do you have any of your songs accessible in any type of format online .. I am just being curious, even if I'm certainly not a country man, but it's cool when people in the community have made their own album. OUr album will be ready by July or August, it's sort of Radiohead-ish music, although not as experimental, a little like the more laid back Chilli Peppers sound I think, that's at least what the songs sound like in my head, during the recording process they can mutate and turn out to be totally different, and quite possibly, very bad. We'll start work in earnest in January, now we're setting up the studio, we're buying everything ourselves, it's cheaper than renting a studio and we can resell the equipment, top-of-the-line PC with Cakewalk Sonar 4 Powercore plug-in card (2 of them) and another Audio card etc. :)
I love writing songs (even if I'm not good at it) singing (in the shower and when I'm drunk and in the studio if I have a pitch correction vocoder and weird effects on my voice to make sure it's listenable), play drums and mostly guitar, sometimes piano too, hehe, I can never leave any instruments alone. Love the idgirido, especially if you mix it with Bluegrass music, this sounds weird but I was at a bluegrass festival and there was this guy by himself playing that whle the band was on-stage and together this sounded like some of the coolest things I've ever heard .. I recommend you experiment with this native instrument for you rongs <grin>
cheers
